The Oman Higher Interview Skills workshop concluded today under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, Minister of Health at Al-Shafaq Club.
The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) - London and targeted the directors general at the Ministry of Health, Sulatn Qaboos University Hospital, Armed Forces Hospital, Royal Oman Police Hospital and Diwan of Royal Court Medical Services.
The Minister pointed out to the importance of this workshop in strengthening the participant’s skills when conducting interviews with the doctors and the need to unifying efforts with regard to interviews at the level of medical consultants in all health institutions in the Sultanate. He added also that the Ministry is in the process to developing a job performance assessment for the health workers.
Dr. Ian Bullock, RCP Executive Director reviewed the role and remit of the Central Interview Committee (CIC), Theory of Inventive Problem Solving applied to high level interviews (TRIZ), essential skills of a medical practitioner...etc.
