The Acute Cardiovascular Care Conference was held at Al Bustan Palace hotel was organized by the Oman Heart Association with the collaboration of the Acute Cardiovascular Care Association of the European Society of Cardiology. The conference was officially opened last Friday under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health.
The three-day scientific programme of the conference covered most of the acute cardiovascular cases faced daily by the doctors. The first day highlighted the Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI): latest methods of treatment, new European guidelines, intervention, and blood clotting solvents. The second day included different topics regarding management and challenges of cardiogenic shock, the diagnosis and therapy of Acute Heart Failure, cardiovascular emergencies in pregnancy last day of conference addressed emergency management of Cardiac Arrhythmias, and Acute Pulmonary embolism.
It is worth mentioning that the Acute Cardiovascular Care Conference joined number of experts and consultants from Oman and European countries, and was attended by more than 500 participants from the medical staff.
