Quality Assurance Center Launches PSFH7/4/2016
The Ministry of Health, represented by the Quality Assurance Center launched today (Thursday) at the Khaula Hospital the Patient Safety Friendly Hospital initiative (PSFH).
The initiative aims at implementing a program for the initiative of patient safety in hospitals through using scientific standards that allow the hospitals to evaluate its services delivered to the patients. In addition, building capacities of all staff working in patient safety.
It is worth mentioning that assessment process of the Patient Safety Friendly Hospitals is a mechanism has been developed to assess the patient safety in hospitals. It offers a way to define the level of patient safety.
The Patient Safety Friendly Hospital initiative is one of the World Health Organization’s initiatives aims to assist the health institutions to start implementing a program on patient safety. This initiative has been launched before at Nizwa, Rustaq and Starcare Hospitals.
