The Ministry of Health (MOH) today (Wednesday) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Petroleum Development Oman Company (PDO) to finance purchasing a mobile unit for the Emergency & Crisis Management Center at the Ministry’s Headquarters.

The MOU was signed by H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif al-Hosni, MOH Undersecretary for Health Affairs on behalf of the Ministry and Raoul Restucci, PDO Managing Director on behalf of the Company in the presence of number of senior officials from the two sides.

This MOU comes within the programs of the PDO to upgrade the social services, as well as the developmental projects in the Sultanate.

“This MOU will help the process of preparedness response and join the efforts during the emergency cases with all health emergency rooms at all Sultanate’s Governorates” Dr. Rashid al-Badi, Director of the Emergency & Crisis Management Center said.

On the other hand, PDO Managing Director stated that “PDO is very pleased to support the Center for Emergency and Crisis Management in its vital and valuable work. We are committed to supporting our community wherever we can and this well-equipped vehicle will improve response capability and efficiency during emergencies”.

After MOU signing, the MOH Undersecretary and the Chief Guest visited the Emergency & Crisis Management Center, where listening to a brief on the role of the Center in the emergency cases.
