The Directorate General of Health Services in South Al-Batinah Governorate, represented by the Pharmacy Department and Medical Stores in Barka Polyclinic, in collaboration with the Oman Pharmaceutical Society organized yesterday a Pharmacotherapy Course at the Oman Assistance Pharmacist Institute (OAPI).
Almost 50 pharmacists and assistant pharmacists from different health institutions in the Sultanate have participated in this course. The course aimed to updating and improving the participants’ knowledge in diseases and medication and to be aware of knowing the updates of Pharmacology.
It discussed various health issues including, male and female reproductive system physiology, treatment of infertility, the future of pharmacy and the role of pharmacist in contraceptive medication. During the next days, the course will discuss other issues like; medications in emergency, gout and autoimmune disease, cancer, as well as pituitary gland.
The 5-day course gathered different speakers from the OAPI, Nizwa University, Oman Medical Collage, Royal Hospital, Barka Polyclinic and Bushar Polyclinic.
