To follow up the health situation in South Sharqiyah Governorate, H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saif Al Hosani, MOH’s Undersecretary of Health Affairs, visited Asila Health Center, where cases of Hepatitis A recently recorded in the area. Dr. Al Hosani was briefed on the delivered health care services and the procedures taken in the management of these cases.
H.E. Dr. Al Hosani affirmed the effectiveness of these procedures and that the cases are declining. Al Hosani further stressed on the necessity of hand, food, and drink hygiene as effective preventive actions.
Regarding the Crimean–Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), H.E.Dr. Al Hosani visited both of Sur and Ibra Hospitals to check on the quality of the medical care services delivered for the management CCHF cases.
Al Hosani reaffirmed that overall number of the cases reached 6 since the onset of 2016. He in addition praised all efforts exerted from the concerned sectors as the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources.
