The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health (MOH) will take part tomorrow in the 69th World Health Assembly (WHA) meeting, which will be held in Geneva.
The Sultanate will preside over the current session, which is led by H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al-Saidi, Minister of Health accompanied by number of high-level of experts, consultants and officials in the health field.
The selection of the Sultanate as the Chairman of the Assembly meeting comes due to its significant role in its effective health policies that related to the quality of planning, safety of health vision and clarity of national targets for the Future Vision of the Health System “Health 2050”.
This meeting will address the prevention and control of communicable diseases, maternal, infants and young children nutrition, elimination of childhood obesity and Global Plan of Action regarding violence.
The Sultanate will also participate in the side meetings of this meeting, especially the Arab Health Ministers Council meeting that will be held on Monday.
