Private Health Assessors Training of Trainers Course
The Ministry of Health (MOH) represented by the Directorate General of Private Health Establishments organized today Sunday a training course for Private Health Establishments Assessors. The workshop was conducted under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Sultan Ya’rub Al Busaidi, MOH’s Advisor for Health Affairs at the Holiday-Muscat. A number of health workers from the Sultanate’s Governorates who are responsible for assessing private health insinuations participated in this training course.
The two-day course aimed at preparing licensed assessors for Assessing Private Health Establishments. After achieving the specified requirements, the trainees will be granted a certification from the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) that qualify them to be licensed assessors. These trainees will afterwards undertake the task of training the rest of assessment teams in their respective Governorates.
The workshop program included number of scientific lectures presented by experts from the ACHS. The lectures underlined the challenges facing the health assessors and the most important sites and fields in health assessment.
It is worth mentioning that the training corse focused on assessment methodologies that are related to improving the quality and skills of those concerned with the assessment of Private Health Establishments in a way that promotes and strengthens health care and services in the Governorates’ Health Private Sector Establishments
