The eighth death case of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) in the Sultanate during this year has recorded. The case was diagnosed for a citizen from Governorate of Dhofar after contracting the disease and having a close contact with infected animals.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed that no case of human-to-human transmission of the CCHF has been reported, whether in the health institutions or outside since the first case recorded in the Sultanate in 1995 until now.

The MOH calls upon all citizens and residents to follow the good healthy habits like washing hands with soap, wearing protective cloves, clothes and shoes while handling with animals, as well as slaughtering as possible in the slaughterhouses of municipality.
