Oman Specialized Nursing Institute (OSNI), represented by the Bachelor Community Health Nursing organized today at Muscat Grand Mall an event titled “Child Safety towards Oman Health Future” in the presence of Dr. Abdullah al-Batashi, Dean of the Institute.
The two-day event aimed at educate and familiarize the community with the new regulations in Omani Child Protection Law, discuss the child cases in the Sultanate and its preventive measures, identify the role of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in child protection, enhance the importance of educational awareness in child safety, as well as highlight the role of nurses in promoting child health and safety.
The event includes an awareness exhibition on child rights and safety in vehicles, schools and home.
Number of organizations participated in organizing this exhibition including Association of Early Intervention for Children with Disability, Family Protection Department in the Ministry of Social Development, Oman Road Safety Association, Traffic Safety Institute, Environmental & Occupational Health Department in the Ministry of Health, Al-Masarrah Hospital…etc.
It is worth mentioning that, the Bachelor Community Health Nursing studied in the OSNI in collaboration with the British University of Cardiff will be upgraded as a higher diploma in community health program in the same institute next year.
