In compliance with the directives of Ministry of Health (MOH) to raising the awareness among the community, the Oman Specialized Nursing Institute (OSNI), represented by the Community Health Program organized today (Sunday) a scientific day at the Ministry of Education Theater.

This scientific day comes within the framework of the Bachelor Community Health Nursing Program conducted by OSNI in collaboration with the British University of Cardiff.

The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ali bin Taleb al-Hina’i, MOH Undersecretary for Planning Affairs, in the presence of Dr. Abdullah al-Batashi, Dean of the Institute along with number of deans of health institutes and medical staff.

The scientific day aimed to review number of issues related to child safety. The Ministry of Social Development addressed the latest developments on laws related to child safety. The Royal Oman Police also discussed their role in child protection. Psychologically, many topics related to this issue, as well as the role of parents in child protection were discussed. The event also highlighted the religious role in upbringing a conscious and healthy generation for a bright future for Oman.
