Ibra Nursing Institute Celebrates 20th Batch Graduation

The Ministry of Health (MOH) today (Monday) celebrated the graduation of new batch of 31 students from Ibra Nursing Institute at the Educational Training Center in the North Al-Sharqiah Governorate.

The graduation ceremony of the 20th batch was held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Yahia bin Hamoud al-Ma’mari, Governor of North Al-Sharqiah in the presence of a number of Excellencies the Waliys, Shura members, and officials in the Governorate.

On this occasion, Dr. Huda Abu Hamda, Dean of the Institute pointed out in her speech to the efforts of the Ministry of Health to develop the human resources by establishing lot of health educational institutions in various Governorates and Regions in the Sultanate.  She also added that with the current batch of graduates, the number of the Institute’s graduates reached (683) since its establishment in 1993, most of them joined the work in the health institutions in the Governorate. The percentage of Omanization at various levels of health care in the Governorate reached (68%), compared with 6% only before the graduation of first batch in 1996.

The graduates performed the nursing oath. After that, the chief guest honored the outstanding and idealist students in the Institute and then he handed over the graduation certificates to the graduates.
