The Royal Hospital, represented by the Adolescent Medicine Unit organized today Wednesday at the Post Graduate Center of the Hospital an awareness day on the Impact of Technology on Adolescents’ Health and Wellbeing.

The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif al-Hosni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs in the presence of H.E. Dr. Yahiya bin Bader al-Ma’wali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development along with number of senior officials and medical staff of the Hospital.

The awareness day includes number of lectures discussed the challenges faced by the family in raising children and adolescents in the digital world, benefits and damages of using technology and side effects incurred accordingly, addressing the ethical problems and wrong behaviors resulting from the social media and internet, as well as awareness on cybercrimes.

At the end of the event, Dr. al-Hosni inaugurated the awareness exhibition which included signboards on how the teenagers using the social media.
