MOH Conducts Respiratory Care Training Program
27/3/2017The Ministry of Health (MOH) represented by the Directorate General of Specialized Medical Care organized yesterday Sunday the 18th Respiratory Care Training Program at the Royal Hospital main Auditorium with the presence of Dr. Kadhim Jaffer Sulaiman, Director General of Specialized Medical Care.
95 participants from the Sultanate different hospitals attended the 3- day training program, which aimed at advancing the quality of care and life of respiratory patients by fully guiding the multidisciplinary teams within hospital environment to the different Respiratory Care Guidelines, Policies and Procedures.
For the three consecutive days, the training program includes number of lectures presented by experts. Lectures range from the management of different types of Ventilations, assessment to the manual resuscitators.
It is worth to mention that in line with this training program, a workshop on Respiratory Care will be held in May as a continuation of these basic lectures. The workshop will be a combination of basic lecture and full hands and practical sessions on the three Critical Care interventions namely the Non- Invasive ventilation for Pediatrics, the Mechanical Ventilation, and High Frequency Ventilation.
Notably, the first Bachelor batch of Respiratory Care Specialty will graduate soon.
