H.E. Dr. Darweesh bin Saif Al-Maharbi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Administrative & Financial affairs visited today Monday the sites of emergency and maternity units at Adam Hospital in A'Dakhiliyah Governorate in order to follow-up the progress of work.

The total construction area of the two projects is 893 sq. m. at a cost of R.O. 689,900. In addition, the two projects linked to the Hospital by internal corridors.

The Emergency & Accidents Unit, which has an area of 578 sq. m., includes waiting areas, reception & registration room, first check-up room, nursing office, mobile X-ray, as well as two beds and four ambulance parking...etc.

The 315 sq. m. maternity Unit has a waiting area, reception, nursing office, doctor in-charge room, two maternity rooms attached with bathrooms, store, and car parking…etc.

The Under-secretary also visited the site of Ras Al-Jabal Health Center project in the Wilayat of Adam. This primary healthcare center has an area of 459 sq. m. with a construction cost reached R.O. 480,744 financed by Petroleum Development of Oman. It has been taken into account the future expansions in the project.

The new project contains waiting areas, reception, registration & first check-up room, two clinics, one observation room including two beds, laboratory, pharmacy, store…etc.    

Dr. Darweesh declared that the Ministry continues its efforts to meet the required needs in the various Governorates of the Sultanate to take the necessary measures to achieve the intended goals. He also pointed out that the Emergency and Maternity Units are important projects compatible with the health needs.
