The Ministry of Health, represented by the Prosthetic & Orthotic Department in the Directorate General of Khoula Hospital (KH), organized today Wednesday Ankle Foot Orthotic Workshop at the conferences hall of the Hospital.

The workshop, which held in the presence of Habib Al-Bahlani, Deputy of Director General of KH for Administrative & Financial Affairs targeted the doctors, clinical prosthetist & orthotist, prosthetic & orthotic technicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapist and nursing.

It aimed to improve the experiences of the workers in the field of prosthetics in the Sultanate by providing them the opportunity to work and communicate with global expertise in order to keep abreast with the latest developments in this field especially, the field of manufacturing orthotic for the feet and ankle.

The workshop touched the prosthetic and orthotic in Oman, as well as reviewed the prosthetics services in the Armed Force Hospital. It also included an exhibition for the available prosthetics.
