The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General of Medical Supply in collaboration with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) organized today Sunday at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre a workshop to training the trainers in the field of smart pharmacy.
The three-day workshop focuses on train the participants on improving the professional competence and the quality of occupational education and explaining the modern educational models.
Around 30 pharmacists from various MOH health facilities participated in the workshop. In addition, experts from the ACPE gave lectures in this workshop.
The overall aim of the workshop is to set the required basics for the continuing vocational education models based on the needs of pharmacy practice in the Sultanate, as well as preparing educational plan to develop pharmaceutical competencies. It also aims at building educational capacity related to pharmaceutical practice in Oman, as well as enabling the participants to understand the multiple concepts of continuing vocational education (CPE) models.
In the framework of the Ministry's trend to qualifying the health workers, this workshop comes to train and qualify the pharmacists in order to continue developing their performance.
