Health Conducts Project Management Simulation in Healthcare
14/11/2022The Program of Project Management Simulation in Healthcare commenced today (Monday) at Park Inn hotel. The opening of the program was attended by Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Abri, the Director General of Human Resources Development, as well number of health personnel trainees.
The program, organized by the Directorate General of Human Resources Development represented by the Continuing Professional Development Center, is held within the significance of developing human resources and refining skills and knowledge of health sector workers in the field of health project management, and acquainting them to the project management principles and methods.
The program aims to harmonize the main objectives of each health project with the Ministry’s strategy, identify and recognize the nuances of agility in project leadership, in addition to managing projects with effectiveness within time, cost and value. It further aims to develop project agility through a change environment, and learning through practice and experience - simulation training to identify fundamental concepts for project management.
The three-day training program is facilitated by the Performance Factory (PerFact) through international trainers from United Kingdom, India, and expertise from the Sultanate of Oman. The participants will be provided up-to-date technology training through a simulation approach, as they will act as a project manager at the World Health Organization.
The health cadre’s participants will be granted certified trainers certificate to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of project management and achieve the desired strategic initiatives in the Ministry of Health. They will be registered in the Professional Development Center Registry as trainers. They will be qualified for conducting project management programs of the Center in order to upgrade health institutions in various governorates and build cadres’ capacities and skills that are vital for project management.
