Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al-Hosni, Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Health Affairs, a workshop on the Scientific Basics of Clinical Audit of Medicines in the Health Institutions began yesterday Monday at the Oman Medical College.

The workshop is organize by the Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Drug Rational Use Department and in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO).

The two-day workshop gathers more than 60 participants of clinical and general pharmacists.

Pharmacist Nawal bint Jafar, Director of Drug Rational Use pointed out to the importance of this workshop in achieving safe and logical drug use in light of expansion of the specialized health services which requires using new medicines that no sufficient information on its safety is available as it is new in the market.
