Health Minister Signs Construction Agreements of Al Suwaiq & Khasab Hospitals

H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health signed today Thursday at the Ministry’s headquarters two agreements on the construction of Al Suwaiq hospital and Khasab Hospital. The agreement on assigning the Al Suwaiq hospital project was singed between the MOH and IHG Company, whereas the agreement on assigning Khasab hospital project was signed between the Ministry and Carillion Alawi Company. Number of Excellences and Undersecretaries, as well as number of MOH high-profile officials and representatives from both companies attended the signing ceremony.

Al Suwaiq hospital project will be a three-storey building constructed on area of more than 200,000 meter square, with a capacity of nearly 260 beds. It involves outpatient clinics, Nephrology Unit, Day-Care Unit, intensive care units for adults and another for children, special care baby unit (SCBU), Burns & Rehabilitation  Unit, Cardiology Intensive Care Unit, Surgery department, Internal Medicine department, Labour department, Pediatric department, as well as maternity wards, operation theaters, in addition to the accompanying services.

Khasab hospital project will be built on an area of 100,000 meter square comprises three floors, and with a capacity for 150 beds. The hospital will include outpatient clinics, Nephrology Unit, Day-Care Unit, intensive care units for adults and another for children, special care baby unit (SCBU), Burns & Rehabilitation Unit, Cardiology Intensive Care Unit, Surgery department, Internal Medicine department, Labour department, Pediatric department, as well as maternity wards, operating theaters, in addition to accompanying services.
