DGHS-MG Honors Participants of National Measles Campaign
The Directorate General of Health Services of Muscat Governorate (DGHS-MG), represented by the Department of Diseases Surveillance & Control organized today Monday an honoring ceremony for the participants of the National Measles Campaign at the Ministry of Defence Pension Fund.
The honoring ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al-Hosni, Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Health Affairs in the presence of Dr. Fatima bint Mohammed Al-Ajmi,DGHS-MG Director General along with the number of senior officials in the health institutions.
Dr. Fatima Al-Ajmi pointed out in her speech that great efforts have been exerted to success the Campaign at all levels from the first moment through communication with the concerned authorities.
She also stressed that "We cannot ignore, in any way, the numbers of the teams that we formed to actually implement the National Campaign, whether the standing teams in the health institutions or mobile teams among the mosques or labor gatherings. Forming these teams was one of the biggest challenges, where the Governorate has more than 500000 expatriates of the required age group".
Over 50 concerned authorities from the public and private sectors were attended the ceremony.
The ceremony included a presentation on the statistics of the national campaign in Muscat Governorate.
During the event, Dr. Al-Hosni launched the hotline of the Department of Diseases Surveillance & Control in the Directorate.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest honored the participants in the Campaign including the medical staff, allied health professionals, the administrators, as well as the public and private institutions.
