H.E. Dr. Ali bin Talib Al-Hina'i, Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Planning Affairs chaired today Tuesday the second meeting of the cooperation joint committee between the Ministry of Health (MOH), the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) at the Ministry's Headquarters.

The meeting was held in the presence of H.E. Dr. Ali Al-Bimani, SQU Vice Chancellor along with the committee members of the three institutions.

The meeting discussed several cooperation aspects between the Ministry and the University on the training program for the doctors of excellence, teaching and training the medicine faculty students, developing a unified system of disease data, and the E-link project between the medical libraries in the Sultanate.

In addition, the meeting also highlighted the utilization of the higher diploma-nursing graduates from the master programs in the Nursing College at the SQU such as the midwifery master program, the cooperation in the scientific research programs, as well as the importance of the research cooperation between the three institutions.
