H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health, received in his office today (Sunday) H.E. Dr. Volker Wissing, Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viniculture and Deputy Prime Minister of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate in the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Sultanate.

During the meeting, the two sides addressed the development of health services in the Sultanate in the treatment of strokes during the last six years. In addition, they discussed the topics of common concerns, cooperation aspects in the fields of health, as well as the importance of improving the system of transport and relief patients in general and patients with stroke in particular.

The meeting also touched on the visits between the Sultanate and Germany related to exchanging experiences and conducting workshops on health issues especially the strokes.

The German Ambassador to the Sultanate and a number of the Ministry of Health Senior officials attended the meeting.

It is worth mentioning that the guest will participate today in the inauguration ceremony of the Second Omani-German Stroke Conference. He will also participate in the scientific sessions of the Conference on Monday.
