MOH Continues Efforts to Re-back Work at Health Institutions
The Ministry of Health's (MOH) efforts at Dhofar Governorate is continuing to re-open the health institutions affected by the climate conditions witnessed by the Sultanate in the past few days, which resulted in evacuate and close a number of health institutions precautionary.
In this regard,H.E. Dr. Darweesh bin Saif Al Maharbi, MOH Undersecretary for Administrative & Financial Affairs visited the Governorate of Dhofar and met the Director of the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah along with the Heads of Departments and Units. The Undersecretary was briefed on the completed phases of work to repair the damages and the rehabilitation plan for the affected Hospital's units, departments and facilities to provide the health services as soon as possible.During the visit, Dr. Darweesh also met the members of Emergency & Health Crises Management Committee at the Dhofar Governorate. The meeting discussed the status of health institutions after the climate condition and the means to restore the health services at the evacuated health institutions, as well as counting the damages of these institutions.
The Undersecretary stressed on the Ministry's support to provide all requirements and logistic services to re-back the work at all the affected health institutions in the Governorate.Furthermore, His Excellency visited the Primary Healthcare Institutions in the Wilayates of Salalah, Taqah, and Mirbat in order to reassure the health workers and workflow, as well as to review the damages in these institutions during the climate conditions.
Dr. Khaled Mohammed Al Mushaikhi, Director General of Dhofar Health Services as well as Eng. Jamal Salim Al Shanfari, MOH Director General of Engineering Affairs and a number of MOH senior officials accompanied the Undersecretary.
