As part of the National Policy and Multisectoral Plan for Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs), a preparatory meeting on "Big Winner" competition convened on Thursday at the Health Education & Awareness Programs Department of the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The Meeting aimed to identify the focal points of the teams participating in the competition. There are (17) teams from the health centers and hospitals in the Governorates of the Sultanate.
The meeting, which chaired by Dr. Ameera Al-Ra'idan, Director of the Health Education & Awareness Programs Department addressed an overview about the competition that aimed to achieving the healthy weight, raising the awareness level about obesity causes, as well as encouraging the health workers to follow health habits and get rid of unhealthy ones during their participation in the competition.
The Competition is between the primary healthcare centers and referral hospitals under the supervision of the Health Education & Awareness Programs Department (HEAP).
The HEAP Department has launched the "Big Winner" competition, in implementing the National Policy and Multisectoral Plan for Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) that has been launched in April 2017 under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ali bin Talib Al-Hinai, MOH Undersecretary for Planning Affairs.
