MOH Reviews Latest updates on Child Health Programs Workshop15/10/2018
The Directorate General of Private Health Establishments (DGPHE) of the Ministry of Health (MOH) in collaboration with the Department of Women & Child Health, Nutrition Department and Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) section conducted today (Monday) a workshop on the latest updates on child health programs at Majan Continental Hotel.
The workshop targeted around 160 doctors and nurses involved in pediatric clinics, childbirth and in handling expanded program on immunization (EPI).
The participants were introduced to the Pink Card updates and briefed on the management and handling of suspected child abuse cases. Moreover, the workshop addressed topics related to child vaccination and national screening practices including autism and newborn screenings for thyroid or hearing. The workshop further highlighted congenital anomalies and the proper way of filling its document or form in addition to undelaying the (IMCI) program.
It should be noted that the outcomes of the workshop will be integrated to the auditing practices carried by the central and governments auditing teams.
