The Royal Hospital, represented by the Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Department organized today (Monday) an open day to introduce the functions of medical rehabilitation department at the health institutions at the Hospital.

The event held in the presence of Dr. Muhanna Al-Muslahi, Assistant Director-General of Ancillary Medical Affairs in the Royal Hospital and Dr. Maher Al-Bahrani, Assistant Director-General of Medical Affairs in the Royal Hospital with the participation of all health and administration departments.

In her opening speech, Saliha Al-Busaidiah, Head of Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Department stressed that the continuing developments in the treatment methods and medical equipment used in the field of medical rehabilitation has created an urgent need to keep pace with these updates. Therefore, the Department is organizing periodic meetings to promote professional performance in the Department, as well as touch on the latest studies, researches and technology in this regard.

Jokha Al-Barwaniah, physiotherapist added that the open day aimed at familiarize the participants to the role and functions of medical rehabilitation department in the field of healthcare in the health institutions. It also highlighted the latest developments on the latest medical equipment and treatment and diagnostic methods used in the medical rehabilitation.
