The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Women & Child Health Department in collaboration with the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Anesthesia in the Royal Hospital organized recently a national training workshop on how to handle the critical cases of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum at the Oman Medical Specialty Board.

The two-day workshop aims at reviewing the diagnosis of emergency cases, as well as the professional intervention to reduce the maternal morbidity and mortality rates.

Local lecturers from various Sultanates' hospital along with international lecturers from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) in the USA are participating in the workshop.
