Sultanate to Participate in 81st GCC Health Ministers’ Council Meeting
The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health (MOH) is participating in the 81st Meeting of the GCC Health Ministers’ Council at its 43rd session which will take place in Kuwait and start tomorrow (Thursday).
The Sultanate’s delegation will be led by H.E. Dr. Ali bin Talib Al-Hina'i, MOH Undersecretary for Planning Affairs.
The Meeting will address number of issues related to the central drug registry, Joint Procurement, pricing of pharmaceuticals, registration of medical devices and manufacturers and post-marketing drug follow-up. In addition, the Meeting will touch on the Council's initiatives, as well as several financial and administrative issues in the Executive Office of the GCC Health Ministers’ Council.
In conjunction with the 81st Meetings, H.E. Dr. Al-Hina'i, will also chair the sultanate's delegation in the Ministerial Committee meeting of the GCC Secretarial General.
The Ministerial Committee meeting will address the health profile in the Smart-Card, the guide of the unified health procedures in the GCC border points, health cities and standardize classification and registration procedures of medical specialties. Furthermore, it will shed light on the joint health work among the GCC countries, such as the Supreme Council and the Ministerial Board reports in the field of health and its implementation.
