H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, received at his office today (Sunday) a delegation from the George Washington University Hospital (GWUH).

The meeting addressed means of cooperation between the Sultanate and the United States of America (USA) in different clinical areas such as cancer, transplant, orthopedic and other specialties. It reviewed the possibility of exchanging medical expertise and underlined methods of managing medical facilities.

Number of MOH’s senior officials attended the meeting.

It should be noted that during its three-day stay in the Sultanate, the American delegation would visit several MOH institutions and centers including Royal hospital, Khoula Hospital, Nizwa hospital, in addition to Continuing Training Center, and Oncology center. Furthermore, the delegation will visit the Oman Medical Specialties Board to develop a visiting Omani physician program to George Washington University Hospital to learn more about different specialties and offered technologies.
