H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, presided today (Wednesday) over the expanded meeting that joined the Ministry of Health (MOH)’s Undersecretaries, Director Generals of Health Services, as well as the Executive Directors of the Sultanate’s hospitals and number of MOH’s officials.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the attendees and pointed out that this meeting comes within the periodical and consultative meetings aiming at exploring the perspectives of health leaderships in the Sultanate’s Governorates on the health system.
The Director General of Specialized Medical Care Dr. Kadhim Ja’far reviewed performances of the physicians and hospitals’ indicators and touched upon waezen system, while the Directors General of Health Services of the Governorates of Muscat, Al Dakhliya, Al Buraimi, Mussandam, Dhofar, and South Al Batinah reviewed and discussed the performance of their respective health services indicators and human resources.
Dr. Qamrah Al Sariri, Director General of Quality Assurance Center demonstrated an analytical, economic study on the best use of CT scan and laboratory examinations.
Furthermore, the meeting presented the monitoring and follow up report 2017 as well as the electronic births and deaths system (Ajeal) –Generations.
Additionally, the meeting embarked on the work mechanism related to the ministerial decision on forming a task force to register and distribute available financial degrees.
The MOH’s Development Consultant Dr. Ahmed Al Khinji proposed the project of developing training workshops for Health workers in the field of human trafficking.
During the meeting, His Excellency examined number of administrative and technical areas relevant to the progress of health services in the country and reviewed various health aspects.
At the end, the Minister focused on the necessity for cooperation forward carrying out the work, appraising the sincere efforts exerted by all employees to meet the public interest.
