H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health received in his office on Monday Ernst Masaya, an Expert from the World Bank, who is currently visiting the Sultanate.

The meeting discussed the cordial conversations and reviewed the role of the Bank in providing the technical support in the field of financing the health system.

The meeting also addressed the challenges facing the Ministry to maintain the health gains and improve the healthcare services in proportion to the epidemical status in the country.

During his stay, the Expert will visit a number of health institutions in the Governorates to identify the mechanism of providing healthcare services. In addition, the visit aims to analyze financing the health system in order to recognize the challenges and obstacles and develop suggestions and alternatives for health financing in the Sultanate.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al-Hosni, Undersecretary of Ministry of Health for Health affairs along with a number of senior officials in the Ministry.
