With a community partnership, the Ministry of Health (MOH) celebrated on (Thursday) the opening of Wadi Al-Sail Health Center and Madirah Health Center in the Wilayat of Mahout in Al-Wusta Governorate.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nabhan bin Abed Al-Rahman Al-Khrousi, Wali of Mahout in the presence of H.E. Dr. Darweesh bin Saif Al-Muharbi, MOH Undersecretary for Administrative & Financial Affairs along with a number of members of Municipal Council, Walis and senior officials of government and military authorities.

The two projects have examination room, maternal & child care room, observation room, pharmacy, medical records and computer room.

The two health centers provide the primary, preventive and therapeutic healthcare services. Where the primary healthcare services providing the EPI with provision of vaccinations permanently, maternal health care, child health, school health services, eye & ear healthcare, communicable diseases surveillance and control, elderly care program, community care and health education.

Khalifa Al-Yaqoobi, Director General of Health Services of Al-Wusta Governorate stressed that the two health centers are a unique example of community participation in supporting the health service. He pointed out that the projects have been equipped with medical equipment, supplies, office furniture, and computers. Al-Yaqoobi thanked citizens who contributed to establishing these two health centers.

At the end of the ceremony, the Wali of Mahout inaugurated the two centers and toured in the departments and clinics of the Centers and briefed on the health services provided by the two Centers.
