The Directorate General of Quality Assurance Center (DGQAC), represented by the Patients Safety & Risk Management Department convened on Wednesday a meeting on risk management at the National Genetic Center.

The Meeting was chaired by Dr. Qamra bint Said Al-Saririah, DGQAC Director General and attended by health & occupational safety focal points along with supervisors of quality departments at the various directorates of health services in the Governorates and referral hospitals.

Dr. Qamra welcomed the participants in her opening speech and touched upon the importance of risk management and patient safety as an integrated healthcare system at the primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare system.

"This meeting activates the strategies of risk management and patient safety in a scientific manner, which reflects the future plan and vision of the Quality Assurance Center in the Ministry of Health" Asma Al-Hidifiah, Acting Director of Patient Safety & Risk Management said.
