Dhofar Third Pharmacy Conference was inaugurated recently under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Mohammed Saif Al Hosni, Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs with the presence of number of Directors General of public, private, and military health institutions as well as specialists in pharmacy professions.

The two-day conference, held at Sultan Qaboos Complex youth culture and entertainment, was organized by the Directorate General of Health Services at Dhofar Governorate in collaboration with the Oman Pharmaceutical Society.

Under the theme, Optimization in Medication Management, the conference aims at enhancing medicine management through educating community on the use of medicine and investing pharmacy at the private sector.  

The scientific program of the conference include six scientific sessions that addressed 21 working papers and 4 workshops, run by 36 local and international speakers specialized in the field of pharmacy.

On the sideline of the conference, the patron of the event opened the accompanying exhibition that showcased various scientific posters in pharmacy. A number of 18 research was evaluated from the scientific committee. The exhibition further included a section for medical herbals in Dhofar and reviewing their therapeutic uses.
