Al Saidi Chairs the Expanded Administrative Meeting

H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health, presided recently over the expanded meeting that joined the Ministry of Health (MOH)’s Undersecretaries, H.E MOH’s Advisor for Health Affairs, Director Generals of Health Services, as well as the Directors of the Sultanate’s hospitals and number of MOH’s senior officials.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the attendees and pointed out that this meeting comes within the periodical and consultative meetings aiming at exploring the perspectives of health leaderships in the Sultanate’s Governorates on the health system.
The meeting aimed at addressing spectrum of topics related to the ongoing health services, shedding light on quality of services and patient safety, expenditure rationalization, in addition to progress in the indicators of performance and the working manpower.
The Directors General of Health Services of the Governorates of Al Dhahirah, Al Wusta, South Al Batinah, and Al Sharqia North and South reviewed and discussed the performance of their respective health services indicators and human resources.
The Director of Job’s Organization, Categorization, and Balancing Sultan Saoud Al Mughairi presented an overview of the Ministry’s manpower movement during the past three years.
The meeting further reviewed an analytical study on medical records statue in primary health care settings presented by the Director General of PHC Dr. Saeed Al Lamki, while the Director General of Disease Surveillance & Control Dr. Saif Al Abri gave a presentation on the performance indicators concerning the Disease Surveillance & Control.
Furthermore, the meeting reviewed the monitoring and follow up report 2018 (the third year of the Five Year Plan) and the vision of the Directorate General of Legal Affairs, in addition to presenting a video on the electronic system (Badail) of the Department of Investment and Finance Alternatives.
During the meeting, His Excellency and their Excellencies examined number of administrative and technical areas relevant to the progress of health services in the country and reviewed various health aspects.
At the end, the Minister emphasized the necessity for cooperation forward carrying out the work, appraising the sincere efforts exerted by all employees to meet the public interest.
It is worth to mention that this expanded administrative meeting is held biannually with the objective to highlight various topics related to the progress of health services.
