Sultanate to Host GCC Ministers of Health Committee 5th meeting, 82nd Conference of Council of Ministers of Health in GCC and Yemen
The Sultanate will host next week the fifth meeting of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministers of Health Committee as well the 82nd Conference Council of Ministers of Health of the GCC and Yemen.
The 5th meeting of Health Ministers Committee will review a report of the supreme council and the ministerial board decisions in the field of health and implementations.
The 5th meeting’s agenda will address spectrum of topics including the supreme council decision ( 37th session, AL Sukhair, December 2015) on Visa Medical program, as well as following up its decision on the procedures of strategic stockpile of medicines, vaccines and medical supplies in cases and emergency crises and the list of medical supplies Guides, made during the (36) session held on December 2016, Riyadh. In addition, the agenda will review the supreme council’s decision on the Unified Guide of Customs Procedures at GCC First points of Entry” (39th session, Riyadh, December 2018).
Furthermore, the agenda will highlight smart card health file, medications, medical devices and supplies exempted from value-added tax (VAT). Additionally, the meeting will follow-up action plan of the GCC ministers of health committee, as well as coordinating and unifying the positions of the GCC countries in the international cartels in the health field, health cities, standardization of registration and classification procedures for medical specialties. Moreover, daily allocation of sport session in GCC schools, human Capital indicator, and WHO Air quality guidelines will be discussed.
One day prior to the event, a meeting will be held joining GCC and Yemen Health Ministries Undersecretaries to underline latest preparations of the GCC Ministers of Health Committee 5th meeting as well the 82nd Conference of the GCC and Yemen Council of Ministers of Health. Within the same day, the Gulf Committee for Tobacco Control will convene a meeting.
