The Gulf Committee for Tobacco Control met today (Tuesday) at the W Hotel Muscat in the presence of the undersecretary members states.

The Committee met on the sidelines of the 5^th Meeting of the GCC Ministers of Health Committee and the 82^nd Conference of the GCC Council of Ministers of Health.

The meeting reviewed the final report and recommendations of economics of tobacco in the Gulf Cooperation Council states.

 The Meeting also discussed a number of topics including setting a gulf target to reduce the tobacco consumption, as well as following up the implementation of gulf health awareness plan for tobacco control.
