Health Signs Pact to Develop PHE Quality System3/11/2019
The Ministry of Health (MOH) represented by the Directorate General of Private Health Establishments signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Sunday with the Kaizen Medical Management to develop the quality system of the private health institutions in the Sultanate.
The MOH’s Director General of PHE Dr. Mazin Al Khabouri, and the company’s Chairman Dr. Salem Saeed Al Wahaibi signed the MOU.
This initiative will be carried out under a direct supervision of the DGPHE and with a technical support from the company’s team.
The development of the Sultanate private health institutions quality is the first of its kind initiative concerns with evaluating quality of all healthcare providers in the private sector including the various types of clinics, centers, hospitals, as well as pharmacies and medical laboratories.
Dr. Al Khabouri applauded the initiative in which it would contribute in upgrading the quality of the services at the country’s private health establishments being consistent with the local and global criteria.
Is should be noted that the Kaizen company is the first company managed by a fully-fledged medical personnel that provides quality services and Healthcare accreditation. The evaluation in Kaizen initiative is based on the Japanese Kaizen that follows the (5S), as well the Quality Rules and Regulations applied in Omani Ministry of Health. It further applies the evaluation standards approved by the Accrediting Commission International (ACI) in the United States, which complies with the Canadian and Australian accreditation standards.
