MOH to Conduct National Immunization Coverage Survey

9/2/2023

The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General for Disease Surveillance and Control, will conduct a national immunization coverage survey from February 19 to March 19, 2023.

The national survey targets children less than (5) years and mothers with children less than (5) years.

The survey will initiate with field visits to collect the children's immunization data from the Child Health Card (the pink card) as well as from the maternal health card (the green card).

As part of the preparations for the national survey, H.E. Dr. Said bin Harib Al-Lamki, MOH Undersecretary for Health Affairs, chaired a virtual meeting with the Directors General of Health Services and Directors of disease surveillance and control in all governorates.

During the meeting, the objectives of the survey and its implementation steps and methodology were highlighted, and ways of cooperation were discussed between all relevant authorities in order to inform the various segments of society about the survey, communicate its objective, and facilitate the work of the survey teams during field visits.

It is worth mentioning that no immunizations or medicines will be given during the survey.
