The Ministry of Health (MOH) signed today (Wednesday) an agreement with Al-Baraka Oilfield Services Company for provision of an ambulance for Shalem Hospital in the Wilayat of Shalem and Hallaniyat Islands.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Fatma bint Mohammed Al-Ajmi, MOH Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial & Planning Affairs on behalf of the Ministry and Sheikh Ghanim Dhahir Al-Bathari, Chairman of Al-Baraka Oilfield Services Company on behalf of the Company.

The MOH Undersecretary for Administrative, Financial & Planning Affairs stressed the importance of the partnership between the government and other sectors in the Sultanate for the public interest, praising the good company’s initiative that contributes to enhancing the provided service.

Moreover, H.E. Dr. Fatma Al-Ajmi indicated that the provision of an ambulance is part of the strategic partnership for the common good and to promote the community services and developmental projects of public interest throughout the sultanate of Oman.

In addition, the Chairman of Al-Baraka Oilfield Services Company pointed out that the Company is looking to contribute and initiate developmental projects and programs.  

Eng. Musallam Said Al-Maashani, CEO of Al-Baraka Oilfield Services Company, indicated that the agreement strengthened the company's leading role, which is part of the partnership strategy between the government and private sector to develop the local societies in the Sultanate of Oman. 

It is worth mentioning that providing a new ambulance aims to meet the needs of the Shalem Hospital in accordance with the technical specifications approved by the Ministry of Health and to upgrade the health services provided to citizens and residents.
