The Ministry of Health (MOH) will take part in the 1^st Forum for People with Disabilities organized by the Ministry of Social Development, which will kick off on May 1, 2023.

In this regard, Dr. Thamra Al-Ghafri, Director General of Health Services of Muscat Governorate and member of the main committee of the Forum, pointed out that the Ministry will participate in the Forum with four aspects.

The first aspect, which continuously lasts for three days from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, will highlight the Ministry's role in several topics, such as rehabilitation, genetic health, and prosthetics, as well as providing medical check-ups for blood pressure and diabetes for visitors.

The second aspect, which will be conducted on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm in the theater, targets various health issues that raise awareness and enhance the health programs in providing the preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative aspects for people with disabilities.

The third aspect is focused on preparatory workshops for the development lab of services and programs for people with disabilities. The lab aims to keep pace with Oman Vision 2040 to develop new initiatives and projects.

The fourth aspect is on children's motor and sensory development from birth, aiming to highlight some abnormal indicators of motor growth that may occur and the need, therefore, for a medical consult, which may lead to detecting cases early.
