The Ministry of Health (MOH), represented by the Directorate General of Health Services of Muscat Governorate, Primary Healthcare Department, Health Education & Community Initiative Section, organized today the 8^th Muscat Health Education Forum in the World of Technology at Avani Hotel.

The Forum, which was held under the patronage of Honorable Raya bint Salim Al-Mandhari, a member of the State Council, gathered a number of health educators from various health directorates, school health nurses, and health workers in health education.

The Forum aimed to highlight the role of health education in the Sultanate of Oman, identify the improvement of health education means in the world of technology, and utilize health education in social media.

Bushra Al-Agbari, from Al-Seeb Health Center, talked about activating a virtual clinic, explaining its importance in reducing the number of attendees to the health centers to avoid infection. She also touched upon the “podcast” platform as a new educational platform. It is worth mentioning that the “Idrak” platform is the first of its kind in the Sultanate of Oman in the field of health awareness. It is under the Directorate's direct supervision of the Health Education Section.
