The Higher Institute of Health Specialties (HIHS) organized today (Thursday) a national midwifery scientific workshop under the theme: “Together again: from evidence to reality” at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Muscat.

The national workshop was attended by Dr. Badriyah Mohsin Al-Rashdi, Director General of Primary Healthcare, Dr. Manal Al-Zadjali, Dean of the Higher Institute of Health Specialties along with Dean of Health Sciences College and Director General of Nursing Affairs. 

The workshop, which gathered (11) speakers from the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates, aimed to highlight the role of midwives in promoting women's and child health and providing quality health care.

The workshop included evidence-based scientific lectures and practical training on simulating midwifery practice skills.
