H.E. Dr. Saeed Harib Al Lamki, Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs visited today (Wednesday) Nizwa Hospital at Al Dhakhailya Governorate to follow up expansion works and ensure its readiness for opening in the nearest term.

His Excellency the Health Affairs Undersecretary viewed the completed buildings of the departments and units within the expansion process and have already started offering services to patients and beneficiaries, which are namely: Outpatient Clinics, Training, part of Emergency unit, in addition to MRI Unit.  

Moreover, H.E. Dr. Al Lamki visited the completed departments and units that will be operated within the upcoming weeks, which are Cardiac Catheter Unit, laparoscopy, Cardiac Intensive Care Ward, Post- Cardiac Intensive Care Ward, part of Radiology department that consists of CT Scan and two rooms for Ultrasound, in addition to Bone Densitometer.

Health Affairs Undersecretary and his accompanying delegates met the hospital’s administration and those in charge of the expansion project. He was briefed on the stages the project had gone through, the challenges facing the project, and means to solve them in preparation for its opening.

In addition, H.E. Dr. Saeed Harib Al Lamki, MOH’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs explored with the concerned persons the Ministry’s visions and orientation on services that will be provided by the new facilities.

The MOH’s Director General of Projects and Engineering Affairs and number of officials accompanied His Excellency the Health Affairs Undersecretary in the visit.
