Health Affairs Undersecretary Receives Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control Delegation
His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Harib Al-Lamki, Ministry of Health’s Undersecretary for Health Affairs received today (Sunday) Dr. Pasi Penttinen, Chief Executive Officer of the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control and his accompanying delegation at the Ministry headquarters.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Health Affairs Undersecretary stressed the importance of joint cooperation between the various authorities of the Ministry and the Gulf CDC to ensure success in its mission and yield positive outcomes.
Dr. Pantinen stated that this two-day visit to the Sultanate of Oman is aiming at discussing and identifying Gulf CDC strategy and work plan for 2024, recognizing Center’s upcoming programs and strategies to achieve its vision and review the work progress and challenges faced.
In order to address aspects of joint cooperation, the Gulf CDC delegation will visit further the GCC Statistical Center (GCC STAT), the World Health Organization, and Sultan Qaboos University.
Number of MOH’s senior officials attended the meeting.
