Health Minister Opens New Accidents & Emergencies Building
2/2/2015H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saidi, Minister of Health, opened yesterday the new Accidents and Emergencies building in Khoula Hospital that cost over R.O. 14 million. The total area of the building reached 10000 sq. m, is in the eighth phase of the ongoing development projects that being implemented in Khoula Hospital. The opening ceremony was attended by number of members of Majlis A'Shura, the Ministry of Health’s undersecretaries, as well as Khoula Hospital senior officials. Dr. Ahmed praised the efforts of the staff at the new building and encourage them to exert their best to provide the health care for patient, so as to gain their satisfaction, as well as keep their wellness and health. The number of beds in the new building reached 32 beds compared to the old one which was contain 16 beds only, while the number of staff increased also from 91 to 147. The new building consist of two floors; both floors have number of facilities like, reception, examination rooms, nurses stations, treatment rooms, radiology rooms, operation theaters, waiting halls for man and women with bathrooms, pharmacies, laboratories…etc.
