The Health Affairs Department in the Directorate General of Health Services in Muscat Governorate held today in the Oman Assistant Pharmacy Institute a workshop on Gulf plan on prevention of non-communicable diseases, its control and implementing strategies at the primary health care level in the Governorate of Muscat. The workshop was attended by 70 doctors, nutritionists, as well as health educators.   

The workshop aimed to raise the awareness of the society and discussed several health issues based on the Gulf plan for the communicable diseases.

It also included a number of lectures related to non-communicable diseases, its health status and indicators in Muscat Governorate, auditing in primary health care, non-pharmaceutical intervention indicators and upcoming strategic plan.
