Al-Nahda Hospital represented by the Ear, Nose and Throat Department (ENT) organized today (Tuesday) in collaboration with the Omani Anti-Tobacco Society, Oman Cancer Society and American Head and Neck Awareness Committee an awareness day on the head and neck cancer disease with presence of Dr. Qamra bint Said al-Sariri, Executive Director of Al-Nahda Hospital.

The open day aims at educate the visitors and patients of the symptoms and pathological signs of the head and neck cancer, as well as doing a clinical checkup.

This open day gives an awareness about the risk factors of head and neck cancer, and how to detect this type of cancer at an early stages. It also includes a lessons on how to do self-examination at home.

This event is held annually all over the American countries, Oman is considered the first country conducting this awareness among the Arab countries.
