The Organ Donors Open Day opened today( Thursday) at Al Bustan Palace Hotel under the auspices of HH Sayyidah Dr. Mona bint Fahad A’l Said, SQU Assistant Vice Chancellor for External Cooperation, and with the attendance of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Saidi, Minister of Health. The event was organized by the Royal Hospital represented by Pediatric Renal Diseases Department with the participation of different Health Institutions in the Sultanate. 

The Open Day honored those who donated their organs for children who were desperately in need for them. It emphasized the importance of organs donation and raising the public awareness on the possibility of performing the operation in the least harm for the donor and the best advantage for the recipient. Moreover, the Open Day entertained the children since they have seriously suffered during their illness and after the transplantation procedure.
